Andrew Richardson is a highly experienced and versatile musician whose performances and relaxed stage presence have entertained audiences across Tasmania for many years. Andrew has built a respected reputation through decades of performing in a variety of bands and musical projects, primarily as a bassist, while continually expanding his talents as a guitarist, vocalist, and all-round entertainer.

Beginning his musical journey in the mid-1990s, Andrew became a familiar face in the Tasmanian live music scene through his work with bands including Thursday the 12th, Total Havoc, Blackstone Dukes and Whiskey For Her Men. Known for his natural feel for live performance, Andrew has performed statewide across countless venues and events, earning the respect of fellow musicians and audiences alike.

In recent years, Andrew has diversified into solo and duo performances, further showcasing his musical versatility and passion for entertaining. Today, his primary focus is as guitarist and vocalist for WhyJuly, where he delivers classy guitar accompaniment, rich harmonies, and the occasional harmonica solo, all while and keeping audiences engaged with what he would call his "trademark witty banter and amazing dad jokes".

Recognised for his professionalism, musical instinct, and approachable personality, Andrew brings warmth, humour, and authenticity to every performance.

Outside of WhyJuly, Andrew can often be found at a lake or somewhere off the Tasmanian coast, spending his spare time chasing trout, flathead, or whatever fish happens to be biting that day.
